Ethan David is a comedy writer and filmmaker whose work has appeared on many different outlets, in many different mediums, through many different planes of existence (except the Animal Realm, but not because he hasn’t tried!).

Ethan’s writing can be seen in ClickHole, Reductress, Vulture, Funny or Die, and CollegeHumor. He wrote and directed the short film This Is What I Look Like Naked which screened at festivals across the country, aired on ShortsTV, and premiered on Film Shortage.

Ethan is one half of Jomey, a comedy writing duo comprised of Jorja Hudson and him. Together their work has been selected for Catalyst Content Festival, NYC Independent Film Festival, HollyWeb Festival, and Quickie Fest. They have several projects in development, including a feature length romantic comedy they were commissioned to co-write.

Ethan wrote for a house sketch comedy team at the UCB Theatre and has done shows at the Peoples Improv Theatre, Brooklyn Comedy Collective, and Austin Sketch Fest. He was a finalist in Comedy Central's Yes And Laughter Lab for his original pilot script, The Relief Effort. He also won the opportunity to pitch an original television series in-person to executives at Sesame Studios.

Ethan has a dog named Walnut and you may contact him for pictures.
